SB 754 limits the withdrawal of more than 3 million gallons of drinking water per day from the Chicot Aquifer, which will not be recycled back into the water table and lost forever. AGL Resources, Inc., a Georgia-based company, has applied to withdraw 9 million gallons of drinking water per day for four years from the Chicot.
